Telluride, Colorado is a quaint Victorian town in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. One of the nation's most gorgeous locations, Telluride sits in a box canyon surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The town has gingerbread facades, which recall Victorian heritage and harbor modern day delights. A short walk puts you at the base of the ski mountain. Telluride Mountain Village, which is accessed by a free gondola, provides another ski base at mid mountain. LODGING: The Victorian Inn is one block from the ski resort and 1 block from the historic downtown. The rooms have a hot plate and minifridge. The San Sophia Inn is a short walk to the gondola. It has a full gourmet Breakfast and afternoon reception, hot tub, library with fireplace and rooftop observatory. Columbia Place Condos are ski in/out in the Telluride Mountain Village. They have 1 + ½ baths, ski lockers, and onsite rentals and laundry. Blue Mesa Condos are also slopeside near the Gondola in the Mountain Village. It has ski storage, laundry and a restaurant. Cimarron Condos are ski in/out at the mountain base, a short walk to downtown Telluride. They have fireplaces, ski storage and use of a nearby fitness center.
